Biography coming soon!

Fia was turned into the shelter with a prolapsed rectum that required surgery.  We rescued Fia and ended up having to do colopexy surgery so that she would not continue to prolapse. The vet recommended that she also undergo surgery for BOAS in the next few months, so any adopter should be prepared for this. Fia is a happy, playful Frenchie that is about 10 months old and weighs 16 pounds. We think she is pretty much done growing so she is on the smaller side and she is a beautiful blue with tan points. Anyone interested in adopting her needs to be familiar with the breed and their many health issues they are susceptible to and be financially prepared. Fia is friendly with people and gets along with dogs but needs proper introduction as she gets a little excited. She can be a little alpha so will need a strong, consistent pack leader to guide her. She gets along with cats too and a home with no children or older children will be best. She does have accidents if left for longer hours. Fia would do best in a home where she is not left for long hours and a home with a yard. She would be fine as an only dog or with another calm dog.  Fia has been fully vetted: spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, fecal tested, diarrhea panel, heartworm test, tick-borne panel, blood panel, dewormed, flea/heartworm treated, and x-rays. If you are reading this, then Fia is still available for adoption and if interested in adopting, you will need to complete an adoption application here on our website.

RAFFI

Raffi was living a lonely life on the streets and was so scared  when he was rescued by Hope For Paws Rescue. They chased him for quite some time before they were finally able to catch him.  We teamed up with Hope For Paws to help find Raffi his forever home.  Raffi is shy with people he does not know but warms up once he gets to know you and feels safe.  It does take him time to come out of his shell so he will need someone who is patient.  He has limited hearing but he can hear louder sounds. He will need an experienced owner as he needs guidance and someone to build his confidence.  Raffi loves other dogs and he will need a home with another confident dog that he can watch and learn from.  He is good with cats too. He will need a calm household where he is not left for long hours and no young children but calm older children are okay.  Raffi loves to go on walks and rides well in the car.  Raffi is about 9-10 years old and weighs 10 pounds.

In September 2021, Raffi was diagnosed with a mild heart murmur caused by early stage mitral valve disease. He was seen by a cardiologist in late September 2021 and again in for a recheck in June 2022, and 2023 where he got an echocardiogram.  He does not need any medication or treatment at this time but will need annual check-ups with a cardiologist to monitor his heart. Raffi is also fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, flea/heartworm treated. And Raffi just had a full vet exam, senior blood panel with thyroid test, urinalysis, heartworm test, fecal test, dental cleaning, mouth x-rays and chest x-rays in August 2023 so he should not need any vetting at this time.

The adoption fee for Raffi is $250
