Raffi was living a lonely life on the streets and was so scared  when he was rescued by Hope For Paws Rescue. They chased him for quite some time before they were finally able to catch him.  We teamed up with Hope For Paws to help find Raffi his forever home.  Raffi is shy with people he does not know but warms up once he gets to know you and feels safe.  It does take him time to come out of his shell so he will need someone who is patient.  He has limited hearing but he can hear louder sounds. He will need an experienced owner as he needs guidance and someone to build his confidence.  Raffi loves other dogs and he will need a home with another confident dog that he can watch and learn from.  He is good with cats too. He will need a calm household where he is not left for long hours and no young children but calm older children are okay.  Raffi loves to go on walks and rides well in the car.  Raffi is about 11 years old and weighs 10 pounds.

In September 2021, Raffi was diagnosed with a mild heart murmur caused by early stage mitral valve disease. He was seen by a cardiologist in late September 2021 and yearly checks thereafter where he got an echocardiogram.  He does not need any medication or treatment at this time but will need annual check-ups with a cardiologist to monitor his heart. Raffi is also fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, flea/heartworm treated. And Raffi just had a full vet exam, senior blood panel with thyroid test, urinalysis, heartworm test, fecal test, dental cleaning, mouth x-rays and chest x-rays in August 2023 so he should not need any vetting at this time.

The adoption fee for Raffi is $250

OUR AVAILABLE DOGS FOR ADOPTION

Teetee will need a committed and experienced adopter who will understand her needs and be patient as she settles into her new home. Poor Teetee has already been returned after adopters promised to be patient and give her time to get used to a new routine and provide professional training to her if needed. Promises were broken and she was returned and once again up for adoption. Teetee's background: she was turned into a high kill shelter as a stray at only 5 months old in pretty bad. She has been fully vetted but was diagnosed with congenital valvular pulmonic stenosis that she was born with. She has been seen by a cardiologist and the good news is that she does not show any clinical signs and she will just need lifelong medication to maintain blood flow through the heart. She will need annual checkups with a cardiologist as well. Teetee is a happy little dog that is now about a year old, and she weighs 6 pounds. She gets along with most dogs but there are some she barks at and does not want to be around. In her adopted home, she became selective with people so she will need slow introductions to both dogs and people as she does not like everyone she meets! A calm and quiet home would be best where there are not a lot of people coming and going. Teetee has done well with cats and young kids. Teetee is also in need of a foster home. If you are reading this, then Teetee is still available for adoption and you will first need to complete an adoption application on our website here. Please only apply if you are serious about committing to her.
